Ci sono persone riconoscibili da un solo dettaglio, un accessorio; persone sempre ugualia  se stesse che invece di risultare noiose riescono ad essere affascinanti. Se vi mostrassi questo paio di occhiali, a chi pensereste? There are people recognizable by a single detail, an accessory, there are people that never change their look, instead of being boring they manage to be fascinating. If I showed you this pair of glasses, who would you think about?

Indovinato? Io sono riuscito a riconoscerlo da una mano…infatti sarà il testimonial della nuova campagna pubblicitaria di Valentino! Dopo (Yves) Saint Laurent eccoci con un improbabile modello sul quale puntare. Personalmente penso sia una scelta azzardata ma non troppo, il rockografo è una specie di gallina dalle uova d’oro e la maison c’ha visto lungo! Tanto più che siamo stufi di modelle secche e plasticose. Do you guess it? I was able to recognize it from a hand… in fact he will be the face of  Valentino’s advertising campaign! After (Yves) Saint Laurent here we are with another unlikely model on which the maison will bet. Personally I think it’s a risky choice, but not so much as it seem, the rockographer is a kind of goose that lays the golden eggs and the fashion house has long seen on him! Especially since we are tired of dry and plasticky models.

L’avete riconosciuto? Terry Richardson! Lo amo da sempre; mi piace il suo stile inconfondibile anello di congiunzione tra il rock’n'roll e la fotografia. La sua fotografia nota per il suo stile provocatorio, trasgressivo e molto ( e forse troppo) spesso censurata negli ultimi venti anni ha immortalato la maggior parte delle icone pop del nostro tempo. L’artista newyorchese, ex bassista del gruppo punk “The Invisible”, continua imperterrito a deliziare riviste e pagine web con i suoi scatti crudi e reali, seducenti, grotteschi e trasgressivi tutto portato all’ennesima potenza. Suo lo scatto del bacio omosessuale tra Batman & Robin, quello della pistola alla tempia di Lindsay Lohan o di Lady Gaga nella vasca da bagno. Did you recognize him? Terry Richardson! I love him, and I like his style unmistakable link between rock’n'roll and photography. His photography known for his provocative, unconventional and very (perhaps too) often censored style. In the last twenty years he has captured most of the pop icons of our time. The New York artist, former bassist of the punk band “The Invisible”, continues to delight undaunted magazines and web pages with his raw and real shots, with his seductive, grotesque and transgressive photography everything brought to the nth degree. The shooting of homosexual kiss between Batman & Robin , the one of Lindsay Lohan with a gun to the head or the photo in which Lady Gaga is in the bathtub are all taken by him.

I miei preferiti sono gli scatti fatti nel suo studio; caratterizzati da una parete bianca, facce note con espressioni buffe che concludono lo shooting indossando i mitici occhiali di Terry . Come se tutti volessero vedere e catturare ciò che solo Terry riesce a vedere tramite i suoi occhiali! E da parte dell’artista, questa concessione, la interpreto come una firma! Chissà se qualcuno di noi un giorno indossà quegli occhiali magici?My favorites are the shots taken in his studio; characterized by a white wall, familiar faces with funny expressions that conclude the shooting wearing the legendary Terry glasses. As if everyone wanted to see and capture what  only Terry can see through his glasses! I interpret this grant as a signature by the artist! Who knows if anyone of us will wear those magic glasses in the future?
