Discover Stylight!

Stavo riflettendo su quanto un tempo la moda nasceva dalla strada, si usciva e ci si guardava attorno su come erano vestiti gli altri e si prendeva ispirazione. In provincia le tendenze arrivavano in ritardo rispetto al grande centro e così ci si trovava ad indossare come se fosse una novità un capo che a Milano era diventato “già visto” da tempo. Oggi con internet e il famoso villaggio globale, la nostra strada sembra essere diventata il web. Nascono come funghi delle community dove condividere e scambiare opinioni sulle ultime tendenze, o su ciò sembri stia per diventare il nuovo must di stagione, community dove poter anche vendere e acquistare capi d’abbigliamento sia low cost che luxury. Per restare aggiornata su ciò che c’è nell’aria sono sempre alla ricerca dell’ultima app o dell’ultimo sito di e-commerce ed ultimamente ho scaricato gratuitamente da iTunes (quelle non gratuite mi innervosiscono!) un’applicazione che mi ha incuriosita: “Stylight”. I was thinking about once the fashion trends come out from the road. When I was young, we went out  and we had a look around on how others were dressed and we took inspiration from their outfit. Shopping trends came later in the countries compared to the big center and so you can wear something as it was a strangenesswhen the same thing in Milan had become “already seen”. Today with the internet and the famous global village, our street seems to have become the web.So there are lots of communities to share and exchange views on the latest trends, or what seems is going to become the new must for the season; communities where you can also buy and sell clothing that is low cost or luxury. To stay updated on what’s in the air I’m always looking for the latest app or the latest e-commerce site and I have recently downloaded for free from iTunes (those aren’t free make me nervous!): “Stylight”. 

“Moda, musica, immagini e colori…questo è il mio paradiso!” ho pensato. “Fashion, music, pictures and colors … this is my paradise!” I thought.

Non solo si può creare il proprio account, seguire, curiosare e caricare foto e collage , ma si può inserire anche una colonna sonora al proprio outfit e un video! Così oltre alla moda si ha la possibilità di conoscere nuovi artisti, generi e canzoni! L’app non offre solo la possibilità di visionare e di acquistare i prodotti da vari siti (commercializza i prodotti dei 250 partner shop con cui collabora), ma la cosa che mi ha affascinato è la possibilità di vedere una sorta di classifica dei prodotti di moda che vengono più venduti in tutto il globo (questi prodotti salgono in classifica a seconda di quanto vengono votati, condivisi e caricati sul sito…tutto tramite il bottone a forma di “cuore”!). L’interfaccia è semplice, chiara e si utilizza bene da ipad! You can create your own account, you can follow, browse and upload photos and collages, and you can also post a soundtrack or a video to your outfit! So in addition to fashion you have the opportunity to learn about new artists, genres and songs! The app not only offers the opportunity to view and purchase products from various sites (it works with 250 partners), but the thing that more fascinated me is the chance to see some sort of hit parade of fashion products that are best sellers around the globe (these products go up in rank depending on how they are rated, shared and uploaded to the website… all through the shaped “heart” button!). The interface is simple, clear and well using by ipad!

Ovviamente ai pro va sommato un contro: non c’è la censura al cattivo gusto! Per cui si potrebbe rischiare di avere tantissimi utenti privi di gusto e di personalità che popolano la piattaforma e il cattivo gusto si potrebbe espandere a macchia d’olio fino a distruggere lo stile (quello vero!)…però potrebbe anche accadere il contrario, no? Obviously, at the plus must be added the minus: there is no censorship in bad taste! So you might risk having a large number of users without taste and personalities that populate the platform and the bad taste could be expanded like wildfire to destroy the style (the real one!) … But it could also happen the opposit , couldn’t it?
